Privacy Policy

Short version: your data never leaves your device.

What Watch It! stores

The app saves the following on your device only, using your browser's localStorage:

  • Your profile: name, date of birth, sex assigned at birth, country, family history checkboxes, insurance provider names, optional notes.
  • Screening history: which screenings you have marked done and when.
  • Insurance benefits you added: names, allowances, reset dates, use log, provider tags.

Where the data lives

It stays on your device, in your browser, tied to this website's origin. It does not travel to any server. There is no Watch It! server that stores your information. This means:

  • No account, no login, no email required.
  • Each device you use has its own copy. No sync.
  • If you clear browser data, your Watch It! data is gone.
  • The Watch It! team (currently just this static site) cannot see your data.

Third-party services

The app uses two third-party services, only when you invoke them:

  • Google Maps - when you tap "Find provider," we open Google Maps with a search query. Google's own privacy policy applies once you leave the app.
  • Google Fonts - the Source Serif 4 and Inter fonts load from Google Fonts. Your IP is visible to Google when the page loads. This is standard for any site using Google Fonts.

Watch It! does not use analytics, tracking pixels, or cookies of its own.

Hosting

The Watch It! static site is hosted on Vercel. Vercel receives standard HTTP request logs (IP, user agent, requested URL) as part of serving the site. Vercel's own privacy practices apply. See vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy.

Your rights

Because we do not collect your data, there is nothing for us to export, delete on request, or share with third parties. To delete your local data, use the "Clear all data" button on the Profile page, or clear your browser storage manually.

Children

Watch It! is intended for adults 18 and older, or minors under adult supervision. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13 (US COPPA) or under 16 (EU GDPR-K).

Changes

If the app ever adds accounts or cloud sync in the future, this policy will be updated first.
